This means helping the Department Managers to set their own goals, following up on their progress, and providing coaching and direction to improve their departments. By improving their departments, the restaurant improves! The Assistant Manager also helps with making sure each Department Manager runs their department accurately and responsibly. Ensuring that customers get a fast, accurate, friendly experience every visit is their top priority.Assistant Managers perform a variety of tasks in the store. Some of these responsibilities may include running or helping managers plan for each shift, monitoring shift and overall store performance, monitoring employee performance and taking action to ensure the team is meeting McDonald's standards, employee training and development, store safety and security, food safety, store inventory, store cleanliness and equipment maintenance, execution of corporate and local marketing and promotions and hiring and scheduling .
